Remember Your Creator By Vincent Robbins Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”: Ecclesiastes 12:1 Solomon's story highlights the significance of not neglecting the Creator. He had married 700 foreign wives and 300 concubines, which was against God's command ( 1 Kings 11:1-8 ). These women caused Solomon to divert his attention towards their gods, and he forgot about the True God and Creator. As individuals, we should avoid getting sidetracked by anything that might lead us away from God. Moses also recognized the significance of remembering the Creator and consistently advised Israel to do the same. Throughout the book of Deuteronomy, he offered various methods to keep the Lord in mind, all of which centered around the word of God (cf. Deut 4:9, 9:23, 6:7-13 , 8:1-20) .
